Last winter I visited a location in Burnaby, BC, where elaborate toy-train worlds had been created and set up for public display. I was intrigued by the photo images that came to life as I let the camera play with these creations.
It is through our senses that we apprehend the world, the senses are also the way we are tethered to what is given, and we cannot find our nature unless we acknowledge our naturalness, which is shared with the world around us. Unless we remain tied to the world -- our fingers, as it were, plunged into the soil.
